    It's something we do every day, something we need to live. Sleep is part of our daily lives and is the key to being conscious and simply living. Teenagers especially need it. With our busy schedules and daily teenage stress, teens need the best sleep possible just to get through the day. This is why teenagers need enough hours of good sleep. The Importance of Sleep Sleep is just as important as the air people breathe, the food they eat, and the water they drink, but why on earth is it so important? It is food for our brain. Sleep is good for many different things. For example, managing stress and eating habits; this is important because not getting enough sleep can lead to weight gain and unhealthy eating (Teens and Sleep, 2013). Accomplishing daily tasks that usually come easy to us becomes more difficult due to the lack of concentration needed to complete each task in our lives (How Much Sleep Do You Need? 2013).
