The environment and human society include many elements sensitive to climate change. Agriculture, ecosystems, heat and cold needs, coastal regions and human well-being are examples of elements sensitive to climate change. Future generations need to know that as humans, we did what we could, when we could, to prevent climate change. Even though global warming is happening slowly, we need to change our lifestyles now, because we are destroying our planet and poisoning ourselves with our emissions. Global warming is the increase in average temperatures around Earth to the point that it causes changes in the global climate. . The effects of these temperature rises are traumatic for our planet. Global warming has been a government concern since the late 1980s. The IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) concluded in 1990 that if emissions of various gases by human societies continued, global warming would would happen. In 2007, the IPCC predicted that by the 22nd century, average global surface temperatures would increase by 3.2 to 7.2°F, depending on a wide variety of possible gas emissions. greenhouse effect. A greenhouse gas (also known as GHG) is a gas present in an atmosphere that will absorb and emit radiation in the thermal infrared range (Global Warming. (nd). Retrieved from EBSCOhost). The main gases involved in global warming are methane, carbon dioxide and nitrous oxide. Although there are many others, these are the most harmful. There are natural sources of carbon such as volcanoes, while artificial sources of carbon include any type of industry as well as the use of automobiles. There are other greenhouse gases like methane which are middle of paper...... planet.REFERENCES:Global warming. (2011). In Encyclopædia Britannica.
