Essay / The role of design leadership in achieving a company's strategic goals. Over the past two decades, the distinction between leadership and design has attracted worldwide attention. Turner (2013) observes that management is more rigid; it is based on delivering results. On the other hand, leadership focuses on relationships; it motivates employees. From this distinction, it is clear that if leadership is more transformational, management is more transactional. This thinking has been transplanted in such a way that former design leaders focus on improving relationships with the people who lead them, thereby becoming design leaders. Above all, the modern concept of strategic management has engulfed every aspect of business. This requires that all activities and plans made by a company's leaders be aligned with the company's strategic direction. In other words, strategic thinking took up a larger part of the design leadership process. This project focuses on design leadership in branding. The following sections explain why the field of study is relevant in modern business and academia. It will focus on UK businesses. Domain The domain of study, as stated earlier, is the role of design leadership in achieving the strategic objectives of the organization. The concept of strategic thinking has revolutionized the way we manage. Faced with increased competition and tougher economic conditions, companies are taking calculated steps in all their plans.
