    The character of Jay Gatsby is in perfect relation to this idea. Gatsby's determination to have everything he desires leads him to realize his childhood dreams of becoming a wealthy and prestigious man. She is directly related to people in the 1920s who were determined to become someone of superiority and class. Furthermore, Gatsby's hope of achieving all aspects of the American dream by improving everything in his life leads him to hope that his one true love is his own; which can be linked to the American dream of the 1920s, as many people hoped that by putting in effort and time, their dream would eventually magically come true for them. You could say that Gatsby was one of the lucky ones because he ended up achieving almost every aspect of his dream. Overall, in the end, Gatsby had a better life than his childhood; he had a more luxurious house, a better job and a higher social status. But unfortunately, even when he died, he never fully obtained that strong love that would last throughout his life.
