For years, the war between Windows aficionados and Mac enthusiasts has raged, with the battle lines clearly drawn with no official winner in sight. That said, most people would agree that for most of this time, Mac has been the clear favorite. To the delight of Windows fans everywhere, everything changed about ten years ago with the emergence of Windows XP. For the first time in years, Windows fans felt a glimmer of hope as Microsoft's latest offering proved to be a contender in this cyber war. While clearly not a winner, XP was something to be proud of and the Windows team held its collective breath waiting for the release of the much-touted Windows Vista. This is a long introduction for a 1-2 page article. Unfortunately, Vista fell short (,) and Windows enthusiasts were forced to either continue using the reliable XP or struggle to maintain some stability with the ever-unstable Windows Vista. As any soldier knows (,), loyalty always pays off in the end and with the release of Windows 7, it seems that die-hard Windows fans around the world have finally received their payment in full. It's an operating system to be proud of, and Windows enthusiasts can safely thumb their noses once and for all at those arrogant Mac enthusiasts. Windows 7 offers a host of unique new features designed to reward their loyal fans for their unwavering dedication. This essay will highlight a few of these features and how they are used as an introduction to what Windows 7 has to offer you. What is the process? If you've ever looked at your cluttered desktop and wished you could make it disappear for a moment, then you'll enjoy Shake. Windows 7's new Aero Shake feature allows...... middle of paper ...... you won't be disappointed, because even though the battle rages between Mac fanatics and Windows enthusiasts around the world , it is clear to me, Windows 7 is a more than worthy opponent and if I were the judge, I would declare that a winner has emerged from the shadows. Microsoft has finally given Windows fans something to be proud of. Able to compete with the best of them, it shines as an operating system that is a user-friendly resource that consumers will find combining quality and functionality. It offers you a winning hand full of unique tools that are all designed to not only save you time but also ensure you have a smooth and seamless journey across the threshold of cyberspace.
