1) “People are good, half good, or a quarter good, and it changes all the time, but even on the best day, no one is perfect. » (Quote from Let the Great World Spin). This quote spoke to me because I struggle with perfectionism. Even though I realize that no one is perfect and that perfection is actually a myth, I still strive for it for some strange reason. I've never been one to compare myself to others. I try to be the best I can be. I see my biggest competitor when I look in the mirror. I learned that even the word perfect in the Bible does not mean what we think it does. God would not say, “Be perfect, even as your heavenly Father is perfect” (Matthew 6:48) if that were something we were incapable of doing. We tend to replay and repeat the situations and encounters long after they have occurred The following statement is in the middle of paper ......e our successes” (Quote from the Poisonwood Bible). have had to learn over the years I throw myself into a project 110% and then struggle with my daily responsibilities I learned to say no, it's not easy and I still tend to. to bite more than chew adds to this struggle An important part of this quote is that our wounds, which can be weaknesses or failures, and our successes make us who we are. Mistakes are an integral part of life. , said Albert Einstein, “Failure is success in progress” The important thing is to never give up. We never know when the next attempt will be the one that finally works. Galatians 6:9 says, “Therefore we must not be weary of doing good, for we will reap in due time, if we do not give up.”.
