    First, I've put together some resources to review multiplication further. I formed small groups based on multiplication levels and relearned partial products and the multiplication area model. This step was crucial. The student would gain no knowledge about volume if all his brain power were used worrying about multiplication. I also used these same small groups to teach the next skill with volume, which involved estimating the volume of everyday objects students are familiar with.
