But wouldn't it be better to be able to do both? Futsal is largely about tactics. Because the playing area is small, your defense and attack must be tactically sound if you want to increase your chances of winning. Defenses In futsal, the defense must be fast and compact. There are no specific futsal positions. The basic defensive formations in futsal are the 2-2 and 3-1 formations. The 2-2 formation works like a simple square. The two defenders in front follow the ball while the two players behind serve as support. This training is effective for pressing and is quite easy to learn. The 3-1 formation is done by moving horizontally across the field. The top defender presses the ball carrier, while the three back players slide towards the support. If the attacking team passes the first defender, the second line central defender contests the ball. The right and left defenders fall back behind them....
