In 2012, Sierra Leone's diamond industries were incredible and the amount of exports exceeded one hundred million US dollars (Sierra). The principles of supply and demand seem central in characterizing different market trends. In various market structures, the black market tends to be rarely regulated. However, the black market observed in the business allows the integration of certain strategies in the market effort to interest traders. Traders have linked up with various black markets to find places where the best deals are being made on illegal goods. These goods are defined as being oriented towards the interests of society, as well as the improvement of demand. Veblen products are the main targets of these market developments. This comes from the increase in people's demand and the luxury status associated with their use, and implies the potential capacity to reduce the performance of the rest of the goods.
