  • Essay / Three Types of Dieters - 866

Beefy, fat, blimp, butterball and fat, all of these are the names we call people in today's society, I believe that's what makes people go on a diet. Every day, thousands of people try to lose weight, but not for all the right reasons: the majority of people want to lose weight with little or no effort; some watch infomercials, see magazine ads, music videos featuring fit and healthy women and men. There are several types of dieters; I'm talking about three types of dieters. Dieters who embark on each new diet fad are called "bandwagon dieters", "promise dieters" are the person who promises themselves to really stick to their diet this time . The “compulsive dieter,” this type of dieter will consume a lot of food while feeling out of control and powerless to stop. In our society today, dieters want everything like yesterday, they don't want to work for it; they want a gadget to erase the weight they have gained quickly and without any effort, as these effects are called “dieter on the go”. This particular dieter tries several diets such as the Master Diet, the Grapefruit Diet, and the South Beach Diet or the Atkins Diet, but decides that these diets don't work because the "walking dieter", this person at diet watches television or flips through a magazine she comes across by chance. the new super pill. This super pill that the “on-the-go dieter” takes promises to lose several pounds per week, while controlling the dieter’s appetite. While on this new fad diet the “on the go dieter” doesn't lose the weight they want, this type of dieter never gives up, and so on with the next new fad pill that comes out. The Lap Band procedure is another type of tool used for dieting, which the "bandwagon...... middle of paper...... have been a version of each of these dieters. I've jumped on the newest diet bandwagon or two in search of the magic pill or diet craze. I've also been the person who promised to diet, promising that this is the week I'm going to go hard and diet. I definitely dieted compulsively, eating snacks, exceeding the amount I ate and feeling terrible afterwards. However, I hate to admit that I have been all of these dieters throughout my life. I haven't been alone in this type of weight loss; As I discuss this topic with friends, I discover that we all battle the same “food” demons. So, I beg my dieters and ask them to change our lifestyle? We can have this reasonable meal at once. Works Cited “Binge Eating Disorder”.
