Theme is an important element in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. This helps the reader better understand what is happening over time. Although there are many, one theme in particular is death. This may not seem like much, but it's actually an important factor in Alice's story. Alice constantly finds herself in dangerous situations, but doesn't seem to care. She keeps taking risks that could very likely kill her, but she never even considers that as a possible outcome of the situation. “The queen turned crimson…the queen was silent. » (85) Here, Alice has offended the Queen, to which she immediately responds by ordering her head to be torn off. Alice boldly replies that it makes no sense to behead her, which silences the queen. Alice begins to realize that Wonderland is not the fairytale land she originally thought, and that it is in fact dangerous....
