  • Essay / Organizational Testing and Assessment - 1059

Many organizations use descriptive testing in their employee development and recruitment at all levels. This is common for people applying for management positions, as a recruiting mistake will have a significant impact on any organization. Selection and recruitment tests help a company make an informed choice between candidates based on their strengths or weaknesses. In career, candidates for professional advice test their professional values, their interest and their preparation for their new position. Some of the considerations taken into account are customer interest, measured by high interest inventory and the use of carrier development inventories (Zunker, 2001). Experience has shown that the main obstacles to improving organizational practices are not technical but rather planning. This is associated with changing management's perception, overcoming people resistant to change, and implementing practical processes and management controls. Intelligence tests focus on the candidate's problem-solving ability and mental health. The intelligence quotient, although variable depending on the individual, is used. Intelligence manifests throughout life and includes the ability to reason logically, acquire and apply knowledge, good judgment, pay attention, use initiations and attention, as well as the ability to cope and use unfamiliar situations (Cohen and Swerdlik, 2010). For applicants with a speech disorder, a nonverbal assessment of abilities or intelligence is used (Zunker, 2001). The definition of intelligence is not definitive but includes the ability and ability to acquire and apply, exercise good judgment, be intuitive, and be able to cope with different situations and circumstances.
