Essay / Project Plan Initiation - 1042
A Project Introduction and Project Plan Project Deliverable 1: Project Plan Initiation: The scope of this project revolves around adding new resources and expansion of existing systems and equipment. This will pave the way for a larger entity with the capacity to act efficiently and effectively. A hybrid model such as cloud technologies will provide the appropriate structure for a large growing entity in accordance with the proposed merger. Cloud technology can be hosted within and outside the entity for security and maintenance purposes. This plays an important role in terms of cost reduction for the entity as it results in a reduction in the number of people who would be responsible for maintaining and securing the database and internal systems. The resulting labor and resources typically result in higher operating costs within the entity, which in turn harms profit margins and possibly the strategic objectives and goals of the organization ( Hallows, 2002). In essence, the new organizational structure requires the presence of an appropriate network design that will accommodate an increased number of people in the proposed workspace as well as enhanced enhancements to system security protocols. Offshore or externally managed cloud technologies provide effective and efficient options to reduce downtime due to network outage and other crises such as damaged equipment and infrastructure. A hosted hybrid solution provides one of the most secure systems to meet organizational needs than other forms of systems. Indeed, it provides highly advanced solutions as well as simple approaches to common problems of modern organizations. The product...... middle of paper ......ture in general has intelligent features that consolidate resources, improve efficiency levels and ultimately reduce server equipment costs, energy consumption, cooling and space requirements. The purchase of infrastructure will depend on the ROI scenarios which are mainly influenced by the main elements namely energy savings, overhead reduction and space reduction. ReferenceHallows, J.E.
