Essay / The Importance of Art - 1153
Art gives people a universal appeal, which makes it different from science. Science is governed and predicted by the laws of nature. Art gives people the opportunity to express their thoughts, much like journalism. People are not limited by laws, they decide how they want to present their ideas and bring them to fruition. Art and journalism differ because art is a reflection of society, while community is the driving force behind reporting. For these reasons, people learn history through art and gain new information through journalism. Art plays a crucial role in the world of journalists. The aesthetic qualities provided by art are applied by the journalist when collecting, evaluating and interpreting information. Art and journalism allow people to communicate without rules. Although there are different methods of communication, art allows for a deeper understanding of emotions, while reporting allows people to explain their emotions to those who experience them.
