Essay / Meteorologist - 675
1) Meteorologists are people who study the characteristics of the atmosphere and weather changes. (Carrière Croisière, 2014). Meteorologists are very important because they predict what weather is going to happen over the days, which helps farmers (to manage their crops), pilots (to know where they should not pass due to storms), all citizens (to prepare for any eventuality). storm), etc… (Career Cruising, 2014). Meteorologists predict the weather by studying atmospheric trends obtained from the atmosphere, hydrosphere, and lithosphere. (Carrière Croisière, 2014). Meteorologists use instruments to study the weather, they look at radar (to see atmospheric changes), anemometers (to measure wind speed), psychrometers (to measure things relative to humidity), balloons meteorological (to send a measuring instrument into the atmosphere and let the instrument send information), etc… (wise GEEK, 2003)2) Since meteorology is the study of the world's atmosphere and weather, it relates to geography class because to study weather and atmosphere you need to see maps and graph your records. (Carrière Croisière, 2014). Additionally, it changes and influences geographic locations and formations. Mountains force the air mass to produce precipitation. You have to use maps to know where the storm or temperature is. (Mel Goldstein, 2002)3) Most meteorologists work in offices usually located near weather stations. Their offices are full of technological instruments for studying the atmosphere. (Mel Goldstein, 2002). All meteorologists' offices have a computer which is usually connected to radars, anemometers and sometimes psychometers. (Mel Goldstein, 2002). Meteorologists also sometimes have to go out to better study the state of the atmosphere or to let slip...... middle of paper ......about $90,000 per year.References:http:/ /www.prospects. ac.uk/meteorologist_job_description.htm = AGCAS Publishers (2013).
