Building Love Above LiesAdrian was coming out of Chili's with his girlfriend, Tammy. He opened the second pair of doors to exit the establishment. The door needed an extra push as the day was extremely windy. As they were leaving, she was entering. Immediately, their eyes touched as they stood in front of the doors and looked at each other. Adrian's heart could have stopped. Eva Jones looked exactly like he remembered her from five years ago. The pastel blue spaghetti summer dress with matching blue sandals complimented her flawless gingerbread skin. Her midnight hair was still long enough to twist into a clip. The shock in her dark eyes made it clear that she was just as surprised to see him as he was. Eva couldn't believe her eyes in front of her, Adrian Taylor. Now thirty years old, he stood about six feet two inches tall, as handsome as she remembered. His golden hair was cut a little shorter and his sea green eyes confirmed that he still remembered her while his brow was slightly furrowed. This is not going to go well. What seemed like hours of staring at each other, the sound of Tammy clearing her throat broke the momentary trance by a few seconds. Adrian gave a weak smile and made introductions. “Hello Eva.” “Hello Adrian.” Adrian turned to Tammy and smiled, "Tammy, this is Eva, we went to college together. Eva, this is my girlfriend, Tammy." Eva offered her left hand to shake; Tammy made a mistake. mistake in trying to shake his hand with her right, but she quickly shook his hand with her left. As the women greeted each other courteously, Eva could feel Adrian's attention burning into her. "Is Grandma inside waiting for us?" A dark-haired Caucasian opened the front door. He looked intently at Adrian from behind the door. His dark blue eyes bore into him. scared and his temper was about to take flight "Sorry, I must have the wrong address" Adrian apologized "You're looking for Eva?" Adrian frowned. “ “Julian, her husband.” “Oh my God. She… she never told me she was married! As soon as the words left his mouth, he regretted them. He had admitted something he shouldn't have if they were just friends. The last thing Adrian wants is to get his ass kicked all over the lawn. " I know. We're working things out and we'd appreciate it if you'd leave her alone," Julian said. "Of course. No problem. » Adrian was so stunned; he didn't even remember going home.
