  • Essay / Sattar Buksh Case Study - 1783

Sattar Bush unknowingly used some of the building blocks of the “business model canvas”. For example, they focused on their team and finding the right people for the right jobs, because you can't do everything yourself. Which is essentially the cornerstone of “key partners”. Both Sattar Buksh and Chaiwala defined their personality which was the westernized population of Pakistan. Defining a character gave them a direction to follow. We covered the concept of defining a persona in our course book Disciplined Entrepreneurship and so it is interesting to note that the principles of starting a business are pretty much the same in America and Pakistan despite their cultural differences. The Happy Alright also mentioned some principles that resemble those of disciplined entrepreneurship, such as analysis paralysis. In their three advice questions, they emphasized that we should not overthink things and just do them, because otherwise our idea will remain just an idea.
