Additionally, when teachers notice that a child is living in an abusive environment, they must intervene to prevent further emotional damage. Schools should ensure that all students have health insurance and refer children without health insurance to an appropriate organization. Schools must explain to students the consequences of bullying and violence and encourage positive behavior. The school should also encourage students to report cases of bullying and violence and where to look for them.
