Essay / "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austen - 1226
Pride and Prejudice by Jane AustinJane Austin was an English writer who wrote in the early 1800s. She was born and raised in Seventon, Hampshire, in southern England. She was born the fifth child in a family of seven and began writing for family pleasure as a child. Of her "six great novels", four were published anonymously and two were published. under his signature after his death were "Sense and Sensibility", "Prideand Prejudice", "Mansfield Park" and "Emma" and "Northanger Abbey" are the two novels which were published after his death. “Pride and Prejudice” reflects the society in Jane Austin's time It uses the way the characters are presented, the way she uses settings and many other details to depict the lie of social classes and also when she. introduces dialogue with its characters, it allows their social position to affect the way they address people in their conversation in a manner that reflects their social status. In "Pride and Prejudice", Jane Austin tells the story of how a girl, Elizabeth Bennett (the heroine of the book), helps her older sister find love, she also helps her younger sister and her family through difficult times when Lydia, the youngest sister, runs away with the intention of running away; then she herself falls in love with a rich man whom she initially found very unpleasant. She thinks Mr. Darcy is unpleasant because of how, according to her prejudices, he seems proud. The book is described by Margaret Drabble as "In a wide range of contexts, love, vanity and recklessness are shown in this sparkling novel..." When Jane Austin first describes a character to you, she gives you a idea of her temperament a...... middle of paper...... going so far as to brag, about the things Elizabeth should and shouldn't have in her life and then she goes on about how which she should focus on the unimportant things and Lady Catherine also tries to convince Elizabeth to try and find a master or even someone to show her how to do things in life. In this novel, I think Jane Austin makes you believe that you are in life. the story witnesses all the events for yourself, as it is written with such an amount of detail and emotion that you could move from one character to another. She also writes the novel in such a way that when re-reading it, one discovers aspects of the plot that one sees differently or perhaps has not yet seen. I also think that Jane Austin described the main issues and main plot of the story very well while intricately integrating other minor plots into the main plot..
