  • Essay / Love Of Reading - 1366

One thing in particular I remember was audio sets of books reading aloud to me while I followed the book, and I hated it. I remember being frustrated that I couldn't follow as quickly as the voice said, and it couldn't be stopped if I had questions like my mother did. My favorite part was reading flashcards with my mother, because if I got all the words correct, I usually received a reward, after which I would always try harder. So while I only remember bits and pieces of learning to read, I think overall it was positive.
