The long history of Jerusalem and its religious significance in the Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith culminated in making it a holy and coveted place for these three great religions. For centuries this city has been fought over and endured many wars and many rulers. The most recent disagreement over Jerusalem is generally between Israelis and Palestinians. The culmination of this disagreement was marked by Israel's move of its capital from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. This has led Muslims to fear having limited access, difficulty visiting, or even being barred from entering their second holiest city altogether. Palestinians also argue that Jerusalem should be the capital of an independent Palestinian state. One way to resolve the conflict between Israel and Palestine would be for the Israelis to move their capital to Tel Aviv to appease Muslim reluctance, but since this resolution is unlikely. the problem needs to be handled differently. The most practical, and least radical, solution to Jerusalem's unrest would be to declare the city an independent state, or an independent state....
