Essay / Characteristics of Beowulf - 1245
He was brave, skillful, and his overwhelming strength gave him an advantage over many of his opponents. Beowulf's arrogance may have ended his life when he faced the dragon, but this characteristic of his personality allowed him to become such a great leader. He was not afraid of death and that is one of the signs of a hero. He knew that death could be near with every step he took, but he always threw himself headfirst into challenges. Beowulf may have died that day with the dragon, but his legacy as an epic hero and formidable leader will be remembered for generations to come.
