During the 20th century, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) was founded. She deals with drug trafficking and is able to question those involved in drug trafficking across borders. The DEA has the right to detain any suspected person. Before the DEA was recognized, those who smuggled drugs into the United States were never brought to justice until law enforcement and the criminal justice system recognized that it did no harm only to the foundations of government. The government has taken action and is now trying to put an end to illegal drug trafficking.
