Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a disorder that affects 5.29% of the population (Polanczyk, Lima, Horta, Biederman, & Rohde, 2007) . This disorder makes it difficult for children to concentrate, learn and interact. A disorder like this can be debilitating for children, making it difficult to complete almost mundane tasks. However, these disorders can be just as stressful, if not more so, for the child's parent. Every parent faces many challenges with their child, but the pressure is doubled and maybe even tripled when the child constantly needs you. Parenting a child with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is extremely tiring and exhausting at every stage of the child's life through adulthood. First, it is important to look at the child, the disorder and its factors to get a broader and clearer picture. Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is described in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual 5 (2013) as "a pattern of behavior, present in multiple contexts (e.g., at school and at home), that can lead to performance problems in social, educational or professional contexts.
