My favorite place in my mother's house is the dining room. Every year, my mother's house is chosen by everyone in our family to host Christmas dinners and parties because of the elegance of its dining room. As you walk down the long, narrow hallway toward the dining room, you see huge photos of family members hung on both sides of the smooth, colorful wall. It feels like you're walking forever, and then you finally reach the door to the infamous dining room. You are first greeted by the tall, wide, almond-colored, gold-trimmed door.
