In America we know that without the civil war that took place, it could here be suggested that without the start of this civil war between the South and the North , black people could still be ignored. Jewish Rights If other countries had never intervened and stopped Hitler, we could have experienced one of the greatest annihilations of a race in our history. The war also contributed to the advent of women right here in America during World War II. As a country we began to see many women step up and take the place of men as they fought in war, this movement alone helped bring about the notions of women's rights. During World War II, some 350,000 women served in the U.S. armed forces, both at home and abroad. Among them, the Women's Airforce Service Pilots, who on March 10, 2010, received the prestigious Congressional Gold Medal. Meanwhile, widespread enlistment of men left gaping holes in the industrial workforce. Between 1940 and 1945, the percentage of women in the U.S. labor force increased from 27 percent to nearly 37 percent, and by 1945, nearly one in four married women worked outside the home. (History 2010) Civil rights are vital to any country, the people are what help establish a country and when the people are overwhelmed, tired and stressed it causes chaos. In every country, everyone should have equal rights and be treated fairly. When proud leaders violate this, they violate the rights of others. There are many countries where their national rights are being violated and because these countries don't have much access, it's not televised. Therefore, the people who are in power do nothing to help, but when this continues, it is legitimate and legitimate for another country to intervene and save.
