Celebrities have existed since the dawn of time, from the ancient Greek Olympics (44 BC) to today. The majority of people around the world grew up with a celebrity idol: singers, actresses, painters, poets or even athletes. We looked up to them hoping that one day we could be in their shoes and the shining star that they are. Michael is one of the few celebrities able to sustain his career as a celebrity, but the benefits to him and to society are exceptional. Growing up as a famous kid can be difficult and have its challenges, but every kid goes through tough times. Although there are many advantages to being a child star, I think there are more disadvantages to being one. Overall, if a child has to abandon their Oliver 6 childhood in order to please others, we as a society are teaching them wrong. By being a famous child, one is able to influence the society around them and show why they were chosen to shine so brightly. Some stars rise and some fall, but we as a society can thank them all for making our lives a little more entertaining..
