ADHD is known as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Many symptoms of adult ADHD are similar to those of childhood ADHD. Those who suffer from ADHD are unable to control their daily lives. ADHD affects not only the person who has it, but also everyone around them. Extensive research has been conducted on ADHD, and to date, there are still no definitive answers as to the exact causes of this disorder. The theory suggests that ADHD is caused by a neurological and chemical deficiency that affects the development of the central nervous system. This lack of development is thought to directly affect the part of the brain responsible for concentration. ADHD is also thought to be partly due to genetic inheritance. A large majority of people with this disorder will also have a parent with ADHD. There are at least three main characteristics of ADHD that include several subcharacteristics, and not everyone with adult ADHD will experience them all.
