    I visited the Foosaner Art Museum, where a collection of Langdon Kihn art was on display. The exhibition is called “An American Story.” More than 80 works of Kihn's artwork were on display, including rare portraits, landscapes, sketches and Native American artifacts. I am intrigued by Native American culture and artifacts. So, this exhibit filled with beautiful Native American-based art naturally appealed to me. Kihn's insightful view of Native American life also intrigued me. Born September 5, 1898 in Brooklyn, New York, Wilfred Langdon Kihn is best known for his portraits of American Indians and illustrations of their history, culture, and way of life. Because of Kihn's artistic talent, he was enrolled in the Art Students League, where he studied under Homer Boss and later Winold Reiss. Kihn joined his art teacher, Winold Reiss, on a trip to the Blackfeet Reservation in Montana where he created his first series of portraits. This marked the beginning of his career documenting the tribal nations of the United States and Canada. Langdon Kihn married Helen Butler and had a daughter....
