Essay / The Importance of a Fair Trial - 1035
Many judges can become corrupt during their years of service. Most judges start accepting bribes and many other things that can help a party. They have the power to say what can be said in their court and what cannot be said. This can make it much easier for them to favor one side or the other. They can also become more arbitrators than judges according to John F. Molloy who wrote the book The Fraternity: Lawyers and Judges in Collusion. This book covered all the different reasons why he thought the justice system was corrupt. It also states that judges will create their own laws based on their own opinions and decisions. Knowing this, how can we believe that we will receive a fair trial. Will they always side with the defense team or will they listen to you ?
