Peer Coaching or Clinical SupervisionOverviewSupervision can be interpreted from many perspectives and have many perceptions about it. Differentiating description from interpretation in observation is crucial for educational improvement (Glickman, et al., 2014). There are also different methods an administrator can use when supervising them, as well as how this information will be used to further assist teachers. As mentioned by Glickman et al. (2014), observations are a method of evaluation and planning skills are useful to a supervisor in setting goals and activities for themselves as well as others. Next, we will describe two models, clinical supervision and peer coaching, comparisons and differences between the models, analyze the strengths and weaknesses of each model, how each model uses assessment and planning skills and the contribution of each model to the supervision process.
