The Black Death is an epidemic that killed more than 75 million people around the world. This "Black Death", also known as the Bubonic Plague, first appeared in China and the Orient in the 1330s. This horrible epidemic did not reach Europe until 1347. This disease killed up to 25 million people out of a European population of around 80 million between the years 1347 and 1351.
