Essay / Essay on Trials - 1099
During the trials, I bragged about my confidence and poise, only to discover that none of that mattered once the results rested solely in the hands of the coaching staff. Likewise, we found a new coach, thus rejecting every word of comfort my old coach said to me. During the ride home, I felt sick to my stomach, regretting almost every word I had said during and before the tryouts. No longer having confidence in myself, I was shaking with nervousness. By the time I got home, several players received phone calls from the coach saying they were on the team. To add to my unease, I came across a rumor that the manager had posted the list on the front of the club.
