Planning your career and retirement is something most people spend the vast majority of their lives doing. From choosing the career that best fits their needs to what comes next, many are intimidated by the decisions they must make that perfectly match their comfort level for the future. The career that suits me best would probably be an individual counselor or psychologist. This career allows me to pursue different avenues that interest me. If a person decides to align with a global company or works independently in their own consulting vocation, they can earn a salary that allows them to live a comfortable life. Finally, the growth and change aspect is attractive. In psychology or health in general, we are constantly learning more, discovering new techniques, and finding better ways to heal. I find this particularly interesting because I am someone who constantly needs to absorb new information and learn more. Retirement is the opportunity to withdraw from a career once the individual feels the need to slow down the pace of their lifestyle. Many people don't have much of a choice and may find it annoying to slow down, while others consider it a key aspect of their peace and freedom. Most people decide to retire in their 60s, but I'm not sure what age I'd like to retire.
