“The Lady or the Tiger? » (Rough Draft) Now let's go back a few days to current events. After learning of her father's decision to judge her lover, the young princess approached her father to see if she could influence his decision. Knowing that she was loved above all else, she thought she could reverse her decision and free her young hero from the clutches of fate. “Father,” said the young princess. “Don’t you love me above all else in this world?” she asked. “More than anything,” replied the semi-barbarian king. “Do you not wish to preserve my happiness, for that is what will give you the greatest joy? "" she then asked in a way that only a daughter can ask her father. “Child,” he replied, “the happiness you seek is not the happiness befitting one of such high esteem.” “My word is law, and the law says that the blood of the people and that of royalty do not mix. The purity of our royal lineage must and will be maintained. “But don’t be afraid of my precious beauty,” he said in a tone that suggested a touch of sarcasm. “If the young man makes the right choice, his destiny will make him spend his days with the most prized girl I have found.” It was then that she met the one her father had chosen for his lover, the one who, if fate decided, would take her place in the bed she had shared with the one who possessed her heart. An inferior creature possessing the only man who understood her true nature made the future queen furious. Could such modest stature possess something she could not possess?
