In Australia, different residents live in different types of housing. This essay will primarily talk about demographic characteristics collected from census data and make comparisons with housing characteristics to explore relationships with them. The suburbs that were chosen are Teneriffe and Hawthorne in Brisbane, the maps of which have been shown below (the first is Hawthorne and the second is Teneriffe), and the reason for choosing these two areas is that they are two close suburbs . to each other. Additionally, they are separated from the Brisbane River, which may imply that these two suburbs may not only have similar characters, but also distinct properties. The population in Hawthorne is 4,775 and the population in Tenerife is 4,699 (ABS 2011a) (ABS 2011b).
