Before the formation of America as a nation and people, many profound events in American history shaped the ideology of how we live our daily life and were also influenced by the successes of history. like chess. First there was Christopher Columbus who reached the Americas in 1492. This opened the door for the creation of other European colonies like Roanoke and also paved the way to Spanish adventures like Vasco Núñez de Balboa who crossed the Isthmus of Panama to the Pacific Ocean. and in 1517 and made contact with the Aztec empire.
