John Rawls, political philosopher of the 1950s, but was not widely known until the 1970s. John Rawls was highly recognized and studied at many established colleges such as Oxford, Cornell University where Rawls became a professional philosopher and Harvard. Rawls wrote many series of well-known and influential articles on moral, political, and philosophical issues. Rawls is well known for his many different ideas and theories; However, in my opinion, "theories of justice" or "justice as fairness" are the most interesting, complex and attractive, as well as my opinions and why I agree with the theory presented by John Rawls. Rawls was an American philosopher and a leading figure in moral and political philosophy. John is best known for his book titled: A Theory of Justice published in 1971, the book is now known as one of the leading texts in political philosophy. Rawls received both the Schock Prize in Logic and Philosophy and the National Humanities Medal in 1999. His work in political philosophy begins with a compelling argument that the most reasonable principles of justice are those that everyone would accept and with which everyone would agree. He is one of the major thinkers in the tradition of liberal political philosophy.
