Essay / Graduation Speech: The Mentoring Program - 2488
Marianny-Student M has been participating in the mentoring program regularly this month. Student M worked very hard to improve his grades in maths and English, regularly seeking mentoring support. Student M is extremely proud of herself because she was accepted into her top choice high school, Career and Health Sciences High School on the George Washington High School campus. Mr. Fernandez is excited for his daughter to transition to this school because he aspires for her to become a pediatrician. Student M will continue to participate in the mentoring program and seek educational support. Joisy-Student J has been participating in the mentoring program regularly this month; she also seeks out science classes during her lunch period in hopes of raising her overall grade point average. Student J was accepted into the high school of her choice, Bronx International High School, a school that specifically targets the English-as-a-new-language population. She is also happy because her sister is currently in this school and will be able to guide her in her experiences there. After speaking with Mr. Batista, I got the feeling that he thought having both his daughters in the same school was beneficial because they would serve as a support system for each other. Student J will strive to maintain her participation in the mentoring program and will also continue to participate in the Saturday ELL program. Leander-Student L has been participating in the mentoring program regularly this month. Student L demonstrated great improvement in his behavior in class. Student L is performing competently in all of his courses. Student L is satisfied with her acceptance to the high school of law, lawyer...... middle of paper...... she needs to finish high school and go to high school in order to develop higher personal academic responsibility. . Student K will work to participate in the mentoring program, she will also work to maintain her math grade. Sabrina-Student S will not participate in the mentoring program this month. Student S is a wonderful student, who is involved in many school activities such as volleyball, student ambassador. Student S was accepted to NYU's University Neighborhood High School, which is very impressive. She is extremely excited and feels prepared both academically and mentally. Mrs. J is grateful that her daughter decided to create her own path instead of following in her older brother's footsteps, in doing so she is a good role model for her younger siblings. Student S will continue to work to maintain her grades, she will also work to participate in a mentoring program..
