Dillard's is a prime example of what can go wrong when an old-fashioned management model is applied to modern advancements and technologies. Their growth does not keep up with consumer wants or employee needs, and they become an obsolete brand. Instead of emphasizing satisfaction rates, they emphasize bottom-line profits. Although this formula made the company successful and enabled national growth at the turn of the century, it also hurts employee morale, which is known to lower customer attraction and satisfaction rates. Management is the basis of how and how a given organization functions. each activity carried out is organized in such a way as to make each day possible and profitable for the general good of the company. Levels of authority and responsibility are classified based on the skills, education, and experience level of each individual in an organization. Management has several levels depending on each company and its size. This could consist of several people reporting to a senior operations manager, or thousands and thousands reporting to several different management levels (Bauer and Erdogan, 2012). Sometimes conflicts and management problems will arise because the basic instinct of human nature calls for social disagreements and interference. However, it is up to the upper level of management to address issues that arise quickly and efficiently, for the benefit of all parties involved. There are a number of reasons why management discrepancies can arise, the main one being various attitudinal issues. If team members feel undervalued or taken advantage of, they will show their displeasure, which can lead to serious problems if not addressed immediately.
