These activities are: • Inventory management • Service delivery • Product planning, costing and development • Marketing • Payroll • Sales and purchasing • Shipping and payment • Finance • Purchasing management • Human resource management, etc. How ERP Works ERP provides an integrated, real-time view of core business processes, using common databases managed by a database management system. ERP systems track company resources (cash, raw materials, production capacity) and the status of business commitments: orders, purchase orders and payroll. The applications that make up the system share data between the different departments that entered the data. ERP facilitates the flow of information between all business functions and manages connections with external stakeholders.
