    In the United States, celebrities have a great influence on the lives of ordinary citizens. Athletes, movie stars, television stars, and other television personalities have larger-than-life personas. With so much power and influence, what if more celebrities used their platform to influence the outcome of presidential elections? This brings me to my question: “Does celebrity support for major party candidates impact US presidential elections”? I think this is an important question because celebrities have the opportunity to use their platform to influence major elections. My dependent variable is whether or not their support has an effect on the outcome of an election. In the article, Nownes discusses how celebrity endorsements have historically had an effect on how people view candidates and their parties. of the 8 hypotheses tested by Nownes indicates that for respondents who consult Peyton', & Tindall, K. This article talks about the different types of literature on celebrity politics, arguing that most literature focuses either on classifying different types/categories of famous politicians and their roles in politics, or on whether the Celebrity politics is growing. undermines or strengthens democracy. They talked about people like Ronald Reagan and Arnold Schwarzenegger who are considered famous politicians, famous politicians are those who go beyond a single political issue and run for office. On the other hand, there are also celebrities who are only supportive, primarily campaigning for a major party candidate, as Oprah did for Barack Obama in 2017.
