    This article, “Six Sigma at the Crossroads,” discusses the importance of Six Sigma in today's society and its possible direction in the future. The title of the article explains the whole work really well. Six Sigma is at a crossroads, in that it may become a more well-known and widely used philosophy or simply mentioned in a textbook down the road. One of the main questions discussed throughout the article is whether Six Sigma is for an individual or an organization. The article claimed that this was one of the reasons Six Sigma had a dubious future. Goh continued to describe the key attributes of Six Sigma that are not solely dependent on each other. Four of these attributes have been discussed in the article to further explain what Six Sigma means. Goh also explained that Six Sigma was not created by the academic community.
