Sources of Air PollutionIn general, sources of air pollution are classified into mobile sources and stationary sources. Stationary sources are mostly industrial complexes such as factories and power plants. Mobile sources are vehicles, on-road or off-road. Indoor air quality also plays an important role in health. However, the public is increasingly aware of this aspect and is beginning to realize the problems associated with poor indoor air quality (IAQ). This applies to both the workplace and homes. AIR Toxins and Health Effects 1 - All heaters and gas-fired appliances release NO2. However, the results of studies in people with adverse respiratory problems and NO2 inhalation are inconclusive. The effects of NO2 exposure on adult women, children with respiratory problems, asthma or atopic problems are high. Furthermore, the results showed that NO2 inhaled by people with asthma problems showed increased reactions to inhaled allergens. NO2 levels are reported to be high in low-income households because apartments are small and ventilation is poor. As nitrous oxide is acidic in nature, it easily causes respiratory damage in people suffering from asthma problems at a concentration level of 650 ppb for more than 3 hours (Weisel, 2002).2- Sulfur dioxide is associated with a high amount of harmful substances. health problems that include short-term respiratory morbidity and even death. As it is a product of combustion, which is a product of fossil fuels, it can be combined with aerosols and other particles in the air to form a very complex group, which could consist of pollutants and very complicated allergens. Additionally, dioxisulfur...... middle of paper ......xide (SO2), microbes, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). In extreme cases, multiple chemical sensitivity describes the symptoms seen in people. This applies to the home as well as any other non-industrial professional environment (Reisen & Meyer, 2011; Walsh, 2011).ConclusionIn conclusion, outdoor and indoor air quality plays an important role in health. NOx, SO2, VOCs and certain organic compounds pose a real threat to human health. However, few studies and research have been carried out specifically in Australia. In order to overcome the health effects resulting from air toxicity, there is a need to increase public awareness about this aspect. Improve the quality of everyday household appliances such as electric or gas radiators. EPA and other relevant authorities should strengthen their monitoring mechanism in polluted areas.
