  • Essay / Argumentative Essay on Animal Testing - 880

Animal TestingFor many years now, animals have been used for testing and experimentation. Many organizations like PETA and the ARF (Animal Rescue Foundation) strongly oppose the subject of animal testing. Many people oppose animal testing as a whole because not only does it harm animals, but they often risk being killed. There have been countless years of protests against testing, and they deserved to be heard and listened to. People began to realize that not only does animal testing harm and kill animals every year; it was practically useless. Animal testing has not benefited from any scientific breakthroughs or discoveries. Elias Zourhini says: “Animal testing was useless.” He is one of the main people pushing to try to stop animal testing altogether. “There have been thousands of dead and injured animals over the past few years and no reward or safety has been provided from these animals. Animals have been used for experimentation for many years now, and especially today the number of animals used for experiments is extremely high. However, you may not know that laboratories are not required to publish the number of animals they used or the number of experiments performed. This would perhaps help to determine in particular which animals should be strongly protected against testing. “Each laboratory should publish an annual statement clearly setting out the number and type of experiments and the methods for conducting them” (Gould cd. in Leffingwell 211). It would help many, and especially the protesting organizations, to give reasons and facts about the testing. The animals are used and then reported missing. In truth, you may never know middle of paper...... all the human organs and the systems they belong to. “This would be the most revolutionary type of alternative, especially for human experiments” (). In conclusion, animal testing has been overused for too long. Nothing significant has resulted, and no scientific advance has stopped anything from harming us. Many animals are mistreated, often killed. They need to start establishing a more protective law, just like the AWA, but this time it should focus on protecting the majority of animals used, so they can live safely. Finally, if we can find and develop effective alternatives to all animal testing, it could disappear forever. If all of these things can be brought together and achieved, we may be able to see the day when all animals are treated ethically and with absolute and absolute respect..
