My Philosophy of EducationA philosophy of education is very important in the teaching profession. All teachers have their own philosophy. My personal philosophy of education has many different aspects. For example, in my opinion, all teachers are valuable. The younger the teacher, the more current his knowledge, the older the teacher, the better his wisdom. Determining a personal philosophy of education is a very important part of becoming a teacher. One day I hope to be able to use my philosophy. My philosophy of education begins with my ideal classroom. In my classroom, I would like children to feel comfortable with themselves, with their peers, and with me. An ideal classroom for any teacher and myself is a large classroom. I would utilize a large classroom by placing one or two long tables toward the back of the class, for various special projects, group work, story time, sharing time, etc. All the students' desks in the class will form a huge semi-circle with enough space between each desk, so that each student has their own individual space. I will let my student choose where they want my desk to be placed in the classroom. Classroom walls will be decorated with students' drawings and what they would like to see on the walls, if school codes allow. In my opinion, a room like this creates conversation, individuality, gives students a sense of freedom, makes them feel like their class and helps them have more fun....
