    “What Does Your Credit Card Company Know About You” was written by Charles Duhigg and first appeared in the May 17 issue 2009 from the New York Times. . In the article, Duhigg explains how and why credit card companies change their business plans. Companies no longer distribute credit cards and hope that cardholders who regularly pay their dues will compensate cardholders who don't pay their dues. Today, companies are focusing more on understanding the lives and psyches of cardholders in order to achieve greater profits.
