  • Essay / How could I hate you? - 1003

You walked the familiar corridors, admiring every sight, no matter how wonderful they were, even if you had seen them all your life. Your family was well known in Asgard and you had spent much of your childhood studying with the princes. Thor had always been reckless, almost never considering what he said and how it would affect those around him. But that went too far. Loki had a very close secret, which he didn't share with anyone, not even you or Thor. However, you couldn't blame him, Thor would shout Loki's closely guarded secret to the 9 realms without hesitation. Thor knew his secret and how much he liked it that way, and tried to pressure Loki into divulging it in front of everyone. As Thor forced Loki against a wall in an attempt to hide, you watched, afraid to do anything. You feared the brothers' wrath, even though they were your closest and oldest friends. Intervening would most likely evoke the wrath of the Thunder God. You watched as Loki's eyes brimmed with tears, carefully keeping them in check so they wouldn't spill out in front of his pompous brother. In an instant, between two blinks, Loki was gone! You laughed silently, as Thor's eyes flashed with anger and confusion, clearly not knowing where his brother had gone. Of course you knew that, because you had always been closer to the raven-haired prince. Anger against Thor rose within you, threatening to blow out the next person you saw. You had to remember that you were going to see Loki. Anger would not ease tensions and would only make his problems worse. Coming to the end of a passage, you looked around to make sure no one was looking at you. As you were both experts in the art of seidr, the... middle of paper......g different that you couldn't place. "So I was right. Even my closest 'friend' can't do it. Stand before me now. But then again, why would a monster like me need friends anyway." He There was a smirk on his face, and a dark expression behind it. The sadness that weighed heavily on your chest was as if Mjolnir itself was pressing down on you. But to the pain was added a newfound anger. You looked up and looked Loki in the eyes. You walked towards him, not leaving his gaze. A look of surprise shone in his eyes, and it disappeared just as quickly. As you walk towards him again, you slowly raise your hand. Loki visibly tensed at what he thought would happen. Thor, as well as Frigga, had tried the same thing. The tender touch of their hand was supposed to soothe him, and he expected the same from you. However, you had something very different in mind.
