How does this happen? Was I born to fail? Am I paying for a past sin in a past life? There must be an answer to my poor performance. Even with the teacher's advice, all I'm capable of is a low B? I finished. I type. Sometimes you do your best and your best isn't enough. I'm not going to be judged on my non-emotional poetry and receive a low grade for the amount of work I put into it. I didn't take a single accelerated or AP English class the rest of high school. Why should I work hard to get a B when I can get an A in regular English. For the rest of high school, my writing remained at exactly the same level it was in 9th grade.
