    IntroductionToday, young people all over the world are using social networking sites for their own purposes. The main purpose of social networking sites is communication. Social networking sites are probably thought to have greatly improved communication, especially for people whose loved ones are overseas. Some people spend most of their time on social networking sites, including Facebook and Twitter. Studies show that most young people or teenagers are addicted to these social networking sites. Needless to say, it is not healthy to spend most of our time on social networking sites, especially for teenagers who are expected to use their time for studying. As Coyne (2010) states in his research paper: “It is difficult for most students to remember a time before social media. Half of Facebook's 500 million users will log in every day. The same day, 65 million tweets were sent. The last ten years have seen major advances in global communication. It seems that fiction has become reality. » Social networking sites can also affect social behavior. It can enhance or hinder an individual's social behavior. In the Philippines, where most teenagers use social networking sites, such as Facebook, which accounts for 12% of all active users, according to statistics. Most of these teenagers depend on social networking sites to build relationships with someone. Often an individual will feel socially awkward in public if they rely on social networking sites and are reluctant to engage in personal interaction. Even though we are very dependent on social networking sites, it can also improve relationships between individuals.
